If you have been sleeping under a rock for the past year, you may have missed that the hit game Skyrim was getting a remaster. The remaster is called Skyrim Special Edition.
If you have also missed the fact that I mod Skyrim then I have no idea how you ended up here. Regardless, with the release of a new Skyrim game my plans for modding it must also change.
So here is what I'm going to do now:
Old Skyrim Mods
These artifacts of mods will remain exactly where they are. I shall not touch them, nor update them any longer. They will sit in the halls of Sovngarde for all eternity. Or until the Nexus and Steam mod pages for Skyrim get removed. Which ever comes first.
I am considering re-releasing them onto Skyrim SE. I won't however be copy-pasting them and calling it a day. Back in time when they were made, I made some massive rookie errors. So I want to fix them. Plus with the new foliage placed in SE, some changes may no longer be necessary. We shall see what the future holds.
Helheim is going to be redone. I had intended to get it out soon, I am well aware its been in development for a long time. I shall release it for Skyrim SE only. Hopefully I can get it onto Xbox One and circulated as well. Near its completion I will also add a blog post detailing my time creating it. Note: There is a bone dragon boss fight I'm trying to make awesome.
I am going to release some new mods, or better yet reimaginings of old ones. I particularly plan to bring back Mines of Skyrim. For those who don't remember it, it featured 4 additional mining settlements to Skyrim with 2 additional quests and some new NPC's. It will be fun I hope. My main gripe with Skyrim over the years has been how sparse the population is, so adding new actors is always a plus in my book.
So they are my plans for Skyrim SE. With any luck and a lot of non social evenings, these mods will be in players hands not before to long. Thanks for reading.
P.S. Apologies for the lack of DOW maps Part 2, life has been pretty hectic. Now foruntatly I have more time so expect it to sooner rather than later.
